Since 2021, there has been a stamp series from Curacao in honor of the painter Nena Sanchez (1945 – 2017) with her most famous motifs:

A Kunuku house, red flower blossoms, a rooster, a trupial (= an orange and black bird whose sounds resemble a cell phone ringtone) and the faces of two of her famous goddesses.

    The further you descend here, the smaller you feel among the ever-growing coral formations. This is why the underwater world there bears this name.

    There’s more to discover underwater in the diving area around Westpunt, including a statue of Neptune, a Chichi, and a saxophone. The reefs, fish, and corals are so diverse that it’s like entering another world.
