Playa Piskadó is Papiamentu for fisherman’s beach.The name says it all: The fishermen throw their catch into the water at the jetty in the morning and late afternoon, and the turtles know this. 😉

What is special about Playa Santu Pretu?Answer
Playa Santu Pretu has black sand.
Compared to the other beaches on Curacao, the sand here is not snow-white, but dark brown to black. It is somewhat grainy and heats up quite a bit in the sun. It is difficult to walk on barefoot, so if you want to snorkel, park your shoes somewhere near the water or waddle there in fins 😉
The little-visited reef at Playa Santu Pretu is small but beautiful and inviting for snorkeling.
