What is a snèk?

Antwort

A snèk is a kiosk, a kind of small supermarket combined with a pub.
You can’t enter it, but buy everything over a counter or through a (barred) window.

A snèk is also a meeting place, whether for an after-work beer or a game of dominoes. The latter is a popular pastime for locals.

Tip: You can often still get the essentials to eat or drink at a snèk when the supermarkets on the island have already closed.

    Many years ago, Louis Lopez Ramirez, the owner of All West Apartments and Diving, had the idea of creating an underwater attraction and bringing an artificial reef to life. He commissioned a sculpture of Neptune and sank it into the beach’s house reef.

    The underwater god of the sea has since become an example of art come alive.
