How do I find the beach where I can swim with turtles?

You drive to the west of Curacao to Westpunt. After a short distance into village, you will see the beginning of a long bay on your left. Continue along the road until you reach the All West Apartments, which are painted in yellow. Behind it is a large parking lot where you can leave your car. On the right-hand side, go down the stairs to Playa Grandi.

If you have driven past, you’ve got a second chance: turn sharp left in the downhill S-bend, before the octopus tree. This will take you to the smaller parking lot at ground level, which is located directly in front of Playa Piskadó.

Playa Piskadó is the name given to the part of Playa Grandi where the fishermen bring in their catches. There are always lots of turtles in the water.

When you reach the octopus tree at the latest, turn sharp left to the turtle beach

    Kadushi is a columnar cactus that grows on Curacao and can be eaten. Dushi Kadushi = delicious cactus. The cactus pulp of the Kadushi cactus is added to the Dushi Kadushi soup and refined with all kinds of spicy ingredients.

    A great place to try the soup for yourself is the Old Market in Willemstad, where you can try it at Zus di Plaza, for example, as we did. Enjoy your meal!

    In the Dushi Store, which you will find on the upper floor of the Mambo Beach shopping mile, there are lots of Dushi items. It’s a shopping spot for the whole family. They have a wide range of products, including a large selection for children and babies.
    The shirts with the words “I am Superdushi” or “Be Superdushi” are definitely a highlight.
