Aruba, Curacao, Sint Maarten (= autonomous countries) and the “special communities” of Bonaire, Saba and Sint Eustatius.

It is interesting to note that one island in each of these archipelagos in and under the wind has a different official status (highlighted in bold).

    Dushi means sweet, lovely or delicious in Papiamentu.

    Kadushi is a columnar cactus that grows on Curacao and can be eaten. Dushi Kadushi = delicious cactus. The cactus pulp of the Kadushi cactus is added to the Dushi Kadushi soup and refined with all kinds of spicy ingredients.

    A great place to try the soup for yourself is the Old Market in Willemstad, where you can try it at Zus di Plaza, for example, as we did. Enjoy your meal!
