What does Dushi Kadushi mean?

Dushi means sweet, lovely or delicious in Papiamentu.

Kadushi is a columnar cactus that grows on Curacao and can be eaten. Dushi Kadushi = delicious cactus. The cactus pulp of the Kadushi cactus is added to the Dushi Kadushi soup and refined with all kinds of spicy ingredients.

A great place to try the soup for yourself is the Old Market in Willemstad, where you can try it at Zus di Plaza, for example, as we did. Enjoy your meal!

    La Curacao is a local department store with 3 branches.

    The main store is located on Jan Noorduynweg to the west, very close to the university. The second branch is located in Willemstad’s Zeelandia district, on Kaya Jacob Posner, very close to the Van den Tweel supermarket. A third is on Roodeweg in Otrobanda.

    La Curacao describes itself on its Facebook page as “The best one stop shopping center of Curacao” and it really is. Shopping tip and insider tip at the same time!
