Curaçao will face Germany in their opening Group E match at the 2026 FIFA World Cup on June 14. The host city will be Houston, Texas, U.S. In addition to Curaçao and Germany, Ivory Coast and Ecuador were also drawn into Group E of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
2026 FIFA World Cup
The World Cup will be held in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. The opening match will take place on June 11, 2026, in Mexico City between host nation Mexico and South Africa at the legendary Azteca Stadium. Defending champions Argentina were drawn into Group J, where they will face Austria, Algeria, and Jordan.
Curaçao vs. Germany
Germany’s national team coach, Julian Nagelsmann, told Magenta TV that Curaçao will be “exciting to analyze” and that Germany will not make the mistake of underestimating them. He added that it’s good to be challenged and pushed to one’s limits.
