We want our blog to come alive, and we know that happens when you guys get involved. That’s why we’ve made it easy for you to comment on our articles. Feel free to leave us a comment here on the website underneath the articles, under our YouTube videos and Instagram or Facebook posts. We’re always curious about your experiences and whether anything has changed. We’d love to hear from you if you’re interested in contributing as an editorial guest.

If you contact us via email or the comment function, please observe netiquette. It’s important to us that you remain fair. We’re all human! Unfortunately, people make mistakes – even if not they don’t mean to. Be tolerant and respectful. Constructive criticism is welcome. We reject hate speech! We reserve the right to delete comments that violate our netiquette.

This is the best way for us to provide the great service we want to offer you for your Curacao trip. We really value your input and review our posts. We’re happy to provide updates, test again, and make improvements.

Yes, we use genders, but not with * or : in our texts and editorial contributions. Why? We want to make our experiences available to you in easy-to-read language. That’s why we follow the Duden dictionary and choose the primary gender. Of course we don’t make any judgments about your personal gender. You are valuable to us as a person, and we have no reservations or preferences – regardless of your gender.

All feminine, masculine, or neutral expressions naturally refer equally to women, men and any other gender.

We also want to make it clear that we don’t tolerate any kind of discrimination, including based on ethnic origin, religion, ideology, disability, age, or sexual orientation. This also applies to any form of violence, glorification of war, or incitement to hatred.

We take the protection of minors seriously and do not wish to encourage underage drinking, the consumption of alcoholic beverages, such as a brand of beer, by naming or depicting them. When we write about ashtrays on the beach or a smokers’ lounge, we don’t want to encourage smoking.

In our editorial contributions, we always mention brand names, manufacturers, stores, or service providers. This is mainly to make the content more interesting, to show what we’re talking about, or to make things more relatable. We don’t do this to promote specific products, services, or stores. Sometimes we just like offers or products and therefore make a recommendation or give a tip. We do this because we think it could be helpful or useful for you.

Our editorial content is generally independent and not “sponsored by” anyone. Unfortunately, we have to make money somehow, so we have advertising. You can find out why here.

It’s not what you say, but how you say it

Help us to get better!
